The title of this blog refers more to the constant stick I still get after a certain person won Eurovision, rather than a round the world trip - which is what this is all about. Sorry...no trannies here (well, maybe a few).

Scary rabbit rats, star wars houses and soldiers. Bolivia
We actually spent the night in the barracks with the mates of the bloke below.
In 2004 I finally plucked up the courage to jack in my job, convince my boyfriend to do the same and go on the round the world trip I had been dreaming of for years. We covered South America, South East Asia and India with Easter Island, Tahiti, New Zealand and Oz in between.
There were tears and tantrums, tsunamis, and huricanes, but mainly it remains the most amazing thing I have ever done to date.
While I was out there I took advantage of my boyfriends huge bag of gadgets and wrote a warts and all journal for my own pleasure and memories using his Palm and an attachable keyboard. Since then friends have asked to see it, so I've published it on this blog.
Information on the places comes from all the Lonely Planets we got through, guides and local knowledge picked up. Please forgive me if any of it is inaccurate.
If I don't know you and you are reading this, I hope that if you are thinking of getting out of the rat race for a bit, this blog gives you the push to do it. You won't regret it.
Dana
